From the project's README ("Safety / brick warning"):
- Flashing custom firmware can permanently brick the scale. There is no recovery path: no bootloader button, no USB, no proven way back. A power loss, disconnect, or crash mid-write can kill the device.
- The tool says this again at the confirmation prompt and refuses to proceed unless you type YES. --flash also requires --i-understand-no-recovery.
- Do not flash on low batteries, do not walk away mid-upload, do not run two copies at once.
