Enable Developer Mode on your TV (
Apps → 1 2 3 4 5 → Developer Mode = ON, set Host PC IP to your machine). -
Choose your installation method:

Download and install automatically through Apps2Samsung:
- Open the app, select Tizen Community as the release channel
- Pick Tessel and follow the on-screen steps
Apps2Samsung handles signing and sideloading for you.

⚠️ The
.wgtin this release is signed with a generic CI cert and will not match your TV's DUID. You must re-sign it with your own Samsung distributor certificate first.
Re-sign:
bash tizen package -t wgt -s YourProfile -- /path/to/tessel.wgt
(Use Tizen Studio's Certificate Manager to create/select YourProfile)
Install:
bash sdb connect <tv-ip> sdb install tessel.wgt

Getting started
From the project's README ("Install"):
Developer Mode on the TV: Apps → press 1 2 3 4 5 → Developer Mode ON → enter your PC's IP → reboot.
Easy: install Apps2Samsung, pick the Tizen Community channel and choose Tessel. It signs and sideloads for you.
Manual: download tessel.wgt from Releases, re-sign it with your own distributor certificate in Tizen Studio, then:
sdb connect <tv-ip> sdb install tessel.wgt
Works on Tizen TVs from 2017 onward. SMB shares, DLNA and WebDAV servers need Tizen 4.0+ (2018 sets and later). Tested on a 2019 RU7020, a 2023 S90C and a 2024 QN90D (Tizen 9.0).
