Night Dock 1.1.2 is a custom launcher for LG webOS TVs with a night-lake background, glass panels, and a compact app dock.
- Choose, show, hide, and reorder apps with the remote or Magic Remote pointer.
- Open Live TV and HDMI inputs from Sources.
- Use a 12/24-hour clock and reduced-motion support.
- Includes startup and navigation optimizations, screenshots, and a model-specific rooting guide.
- Uses patwikx attribution and GitHub noreply commit metadata.
Download works.partridge.webos-launcher_1.1.2_all.ipk to install the launcher. The accompanying manifest includes its SHA-256 for Homebrew Channel integration.
Tested setup documented in the repository: LG 55UT8050PSB, firmware 33.31.75, webOS 10.3.2. Developer Mode installation runs as a regular app. Home-button replacement requires the separate rooted-TV setup described in the README. Installing this package does not root the TV or change system profiles.
Build, type checking, package generation, manifest checksum verification, Chrome 79 syntax guard, and four navigation tests passed during release preparation. No additional physical-TV test was performed for this release. Third-party artwork and software retain the notices included in the package.

Getting started
From the project's README ("Build and install Night Dock"):
Use Node.js 22 or newer with npm:
npm ci npm run build npm run package
The package is written to build/works.partridge.webos-launcher1.1.7all.ipk. The existing app ID is retained for compatibility with saved preferences and Home-button mappings.
For a rooted TV, copy tv.env.example to the ignored tv.env, set TVHOST to your SSH alias or TV address, and run:
npm run deploy
For a separate unrooted TV already paired through Developer Mode, build and package, then run sh scripts/install-dev.sh. Set TVDEVICE if the pairing name differs from lg-tv. Rootless installation runs as a regular app; the Home-button integration above requires root.
Run npm run dev for a browser preview with sample apps. Real launching and input switching require the TV.
