Compatibility
Devices: M-VAVE FM-1.
No compatibility information yet.
Getting started
From the project's README ("Melodee"):
TL;DR: connect your FM-1 to a computer by USB, open the web installer in Chrome or Edge, and press Install.
Current builds use both CPU cores. Following the CPU voltage startup fix, single-core packages are retired from the build, release and installer workflows.
Melodee 1.3.5 and later builds with boot protection return to USB update mode after an interrupted firmware write, including power loss. Switch on again, or hold OCT− alone while switching on; three short key-light flashes mean you can reconnect USB and press Install again. The first installation of this protection still needs uninterrupted power while its boot sector is written. Older releases do not have it. See boot protection and validation limits.
No extra hardware is needed. Use at your own risk. Switching to another custom firmware? Use Back up and install TransitFM1 in the web installer first, then install your destination firmware with its own installer once the FM-1 shows TRANSIT. Use TransitFM1 as the stop between firmwares instead of returning to V15: it guards the next write against interruptions, except possibly the last sector. Use TransitFM1 0.1.3; 0.1 has startup and MIDI stalls, and 0.1.2 was withdrawn. For Baud Girl, install official V15 first, then use Baud Girl's installer: its image can exceed TransitFM1's write range. Keep power and USB connected throughout, and close other apps sending MIDI.
Return to official V15 is still available if you want the official firmware itself. …
