Fullscreen browser, power-button gestures, cover-only sleep, 229 redrawn UI icons, themed restart and fixes for jailbroken Kindles. Requires KUAL and KOReader. Every change is backed up and reversible from the same KUAL menu.
New in 1.1.0: runs on any jailbroken Kindle, not only a Paperwhite 11 on 5.19.2. The firmware is logged rather than gated on, and every part checks the exact file it is about to change and skips, with a note, if it is not what it expects. The fullscreen patch is built on the device from your own window-manager module and accepted only if every anchor is found exactly once, it parses with the device's luajit, and stripping it back out reproduces your original byte for byte (on 5.19.2 it must also match the known-good md5). The anchors are present in 5.11.1.1 (Paperwhite 2) and 5.13.2 (Paperwhite 4) firmware as well as 5.19.2; tools/sandbox-test.sh reproduces that check on a computer.
Verified on a Paperwhite 11 / 5.19.2. Untested on other models: if you try one, please open an issue with kindlehub_fullscreen.log and kindlehub_theme_backup/fullscreen.info either way. See the README's What works where table and CHANGELOG.md for the full list.
Amazon's window-manager Lua is not included: the pack ships only the lines it adds (theme/wm/kh_patch.lua).
Install: unzip, plug in the Kindle, run ./copy-to-kindle.sh, then KUAL > KindleHub > Install Everything.

Getting started
From the project's README ("Install"):
On your computer, with the Kindle plugged in:
./copy-to-kindle.sh
Then on the Kindle, after it has ejected:
> KUAL → KindleHub → Install Everything
Restart when it tells you to. Full detail, including copying by hand: docs/INSTALL.md.
Risk and recovery
- Brick risk
- Medium
- Reversible
- Yes
- Requires opening the device
- No
From the project's README ("Turning it off"):
> KUAL → KindleHub → Undo → Uninstall Everything
Every original file is restored from /mnt/us/kindlehubthemebackup.
If something goes wrong and you cannot reach the menu, fullscreen and the custom restart both have an off switch that needs no device access at all — plug the Kindle into a computer and delete a file. See docs/TROUBLESHOOTING.md.
