New
- System HOME on webOS 6 (trial):
sh install.sh --try-native-homenow works on webOS 6 too. Homebar opens with HOME over the app you are watching, with no Input Hook or mapper. It runs in place of LG's Home program, and LG's Home comes back at once if it does not start (thanks to @mattokar for testing). - TV load in the top bar: processor, memory and network use, each switched on separately in Launcher settings → Top bar. Off by default.
Fixed
- The Home panel on the full-screen Home of webOS 6 (
--home-panel, experimental) now reacts to the remote.
Updating
From 0.10.0: System → Launcher settings → Updates. Older versions: run the install commands from the README once more. Favourites and settings stay.
Tested on LG OLED65C11LB (webOS 6.5.3, System HOME trial, by a user) and LG OLED55C9PLA (webOS 4.10.2: install, HOME, keys, top bar load). The B4 (webOS 10) was not retested for this release.

Getting started
From the project's README ("Install"):
You need a rooted TV with the Homebrew Channel and a root shell (SSH or telnet). Log in to the TV as root, then:
cd /tmp curl -fL -o rawin-launcher.tar.gz https://github.com/rawinek/webos-homebar/releases/latest/download/rawin-launcher.tar.gz rm -rf rawin-launcher && tar xzf rawin-launcher.tar.gz sh rawin-launcher/install.sh
The installer prints the webOS it found and the method it picked, then each step. Press HOME on the remote when it is done (additional overlay: open the Homebar app tile, or press the button you mapped).
- webOS 10 and 11: a fresh install becomes System HOME. If another launcher owns HOME or a mapper cannot be checked, it installs the additional overlay instead and says why; nothing is overwritten.
- webOS 6 to 9: the overlay, with HOME bound through Input Hook: install and open it from the Homebrew Channel first (a supported Magic Mapper HOME shortcut works too). --additional-overlay leaves HOME to LG and opens Homebar from its app tile or a button you map.
- webOS 4 and 5: the Home panel; nothing else is needed.
- Choose by hand: --native-home, --additional-overlay, --home-panel, --overlay. All options, installing without internet on the TV, updating and uninstalling: Install, update, uninstall.
- Additional overlay: a button is a mapper rule that launches the app id org.rawin.launcher (examples for Input Hook and Magic Mapper: Mapping a button to Homebar). The app tile works without one. …
