Gnomad Synth V1 115e11: free firmware for the M-VAVE FM-1 that a kid can play in a minute, with a full synth underneath. No app needed.
- EASY mode: 10 pictures, 57 sounds. Each sound gives the four coloured knobs their own jobs.
- The Gnome sings, there are five ready-made grooves, and you can record a loop with a count-in.
- Restart or stop on the bar, add fills, and try a sound before you record it.
- Advanced mode keeps every page of the synth (hold HOME + SAVE for 2 s).
Install: see INSTALL.md. You need Python 3 with mido and python-rtmidi, then python3 tools/fm1_install.py gnomad-v1-115e11e.fwsc. Installing from a Mac is proven. Linux and Windows aren't tested by us yet. Going back to stock firmware hasn't been proven on real hardware yet. Read the warning in INSTALL.md before you start.
What's new: release 12 plays as release 11 did; its source comments and change record are rewritten for publication. CHANGES.md.
