Getting started
From the project's README ("Set it up by hand"):
- Copy config.example.properties to config.properties and fill it in (every key is optional). It stays on your machine: .gitignore keeps it out of git.
- Build and install for your TV:
TV Build Install Android TV / Google TV ./build.sh (JDK 17, Android SDK) adb install -r FreeMyTV.apk, then Free My TV → Home Screen on the TV LG webOS 3+ python3 webos/build.py Developer Mode app on the TV, then python3 webos/install.py Samsung Tizen 3+ powershell -File windows\build-tizen.ps1 (Windows) or python3 tizen/build.py Developer Mode (Apps → 1 2 3 4 5), then TizenBrew Installer → Select file to install The details, pitfalls and fixes for each platform are in AGENTS.md and docs/upstream-notes.md.
