Getting started

From the project's README ("On the FM-1 (firmware, in progress)"):

firmware/ is Banquise as a real FM-1 firmware, built on fm1-base like OSR-1. It is being ported in steps:

  1. The walk (done): the ice field, Obsimo, Seito, the wind, the drone and the steps, day and night, the igloo and its synth, the places that wake the synth up.

  2. The playable places: fishing, the boat and its kick, the ice cave, the forest, the fire, the lighthouse.

  3. The quest and the rest: the journal, the ending, the outfits, the seals, Yucca...

  • Try it in the browser: emu/ runs the same firmware code, compiled to WebAssembly (arrow keys walk, Space is LFO).
  • Install it: each push builds Banquise.fwsc on GitHub (Actions), published on the Releases page as latest. Not yet tested on a real FM-1.
  • Build it yourself: python3 firmware/fm1-base/tools/build.py firmware --host for the simulator, firmware/tools/buildweb.sh for the browser.
